Delma L. Zirkle
1933-2019
Delma L. Elbin Zirkle, 85, of Little Orleans, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at WHMS Hospital, Cumberland.
Born December 21, 1933 in Artemas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late W. Kelly and Mabel R. Clingerman Elbin.
She was married in 1951 to William Wayde Zirkle who died March 31, 1982.
She is survived by children, Leon Zirkle, Little Oreans, Zane Zirkle, Warfordsburg, Pa., Diana Smith and Natalie Hartley, both of Artemas and Nanette Porter, Lancaster, Pa.; one step-son, Billy Zirkle; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, LeAnna Potts, Artemas and two brothers, Floyd Elbin and Leon Elbin, both of Artemas.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl Elbin; seven brothers, Eugene, John, Warren, Dale, Harold, Ralph and Kenneth Elbin and two sisters, Alverta Papa and LaDonna Dennison.
She was a graduate of Everett Area High School class of 1951.
She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church.
She worked for Sheetz in Hancock for 20 years.
She liked to cook.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, August 14 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Christian Church, 1747 Crooked Run Road, Artemas with Pastors Milton Morris and Jonas Smith officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Akers Funeral Home, Everett.
