Multiple fire companies from Morgan and Berkeley County responded to a fire on Fox Hollow Lane in eastern Morgan County shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday, September 24.
The blaze was reported as an outdoor fire of multiple piles of debris, but was upgraded to a structure fire when responders determined that part of what was on fire were the remains of a house and two mobile homes. The homes were unoccupied, and responders determined that what was on fire was debris. some of it from home demolition. Fire units remained on the scene for several hours to get the fire under control. The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and Department of Environmental Protection were assessing the fire scene on Tuesday morning when they called fire companies back to assist with a rekindle of the blaze.
