He was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph, Frank, Eldon, and Dick, and survived by his brothers Ted and Jack and his sister Clara.
He was born on June 6, 1936, to Carl and Stella Wise in Bath, New York.
He ended up settling down at his farm, Windy Hill, in Posey Hollow, and wintered in Zephyrhills, FL.
At a young age Dave established a strong work ethic by being a milk boy and running a paper route. At the age of 18 he joined his beloved Marine Corp where he proudly served for 11 years, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his career with the Marine Corp and the birth of his six children, he bought Pent-Marr Exxon Service Center on Jefferson-Davis Highway, adjacent to the Pentagon. He faithfully served the community of Northern Virginia for 25 years. He was such a well-respected business man, that despite not having a college degree, he was asked to teach a business class at the Northern Virginia Community College. In 1984 he became president of the Falls Church Lions Club, spending many hours selling fruit and collecting eye glasses for the benefit of others. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his brother Dick and friends, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, and playing golf. Later in life he became a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 60, Aerie Eagles Club 4433, and the Winchester Moose 1283. Occasionally he enjoyed relaxing at the Troubadour Lounge with his good friend and neighbor Charley. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and many friends.
