Morgan County Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday,

April 21 to keep tax rates at their current level for county property owners for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2020.
That tax rate is 14.3 cents per $100 of assessed value.
The vote came with no discussion, or questions from the public as county officials live-streamed the meeting. At the opening of the meeting, Commission President Joel Tuttle provided a call-in number for any direct questions, and invited viewers to send, message or call in any questions. At the time of the vote, the social media streamed video had 50 watchers.
Morgan County expects to collect $3,776,307 in property taxes during the fiscal year from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The county approved a $7.6 million budget in late March.
