Cheryl Arlene McCarty, age 65, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born April 14, 1956, in Petersburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Roger William “Short” and Eleanor Arlene Carnell Reed.
She was a Christian.
Cheryl was a graduate of Hancock High School and had worked in the fraud department of Citicorp in Hagerstown for more than 30 years.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1311 in Berkeley Springs.
She was a homemaker and loved her dog “George.”
She is survived by her fiancé, Thomas Ralph Graham, Sr. of Berkeley Springs; children, Cheryl Michelle McCarty, of Hagerstown and Joshua Ivan Graham and his partner, Sarah Newlin of Berkeley Springs; one granddaughter, Ericah Elizabeth Younker, of Hagerstown; her sister, Cindy Lea Fox and her husband Danny of Berkeley Springs; her stepchildren, Karen Sue Camp of Woodstock, Ill. and Thomas Ralph Graham, Jr. of Rockford, Ill., and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Sue Reed and one brother, Roger Eugene Reed, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 12 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
