Cassius John Garland, age 5 months, of McConnellsburg, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg.
Born July 14, 2018, in York, Pa., he was the son of Healie M. Garland, of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Tanner A. Rhodes, of Loysburg, Pa.
He is survived one brother, Jae’siaughn Garland, of McConnellsburg; maternal grandfather, John Garland, of McConnellsburg; and maternal grandmother, Denise Hawkins, of Hagerstown, Md.; paternal grandparents, Kenny and Kathy Rhodes; an aunt, Mary Rhodes, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; his godmother, Megan Faupel, of Breezewood, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cassius was a beautiful son who touched the hearts of his family. He is now an angel in Heaven with God.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, 13642 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md. Rev.
Jeffrey Hawbaker will officiate, and burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
