Brenda L. Engel
1939-2019
Brenda Louise Engel, age 79, of Little Orleans, Md, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her home.
Born December 23, 1939, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bonnie Lou (Thompson) Bovey; and the wife of Lester L. Engel, Jr. They had been married for 59 years.
She graduated in 1957 from Oxen Hills High School and attended the University of Maryland.
Brenda loved feeding the birds and being outside enjoying nature.
She had formerly been employed as a legal secretary for the Haley, Bader and Wollenberg law firm, in Washington, D.C.
She was greatly loved by her family, including her husband, and a daughter, Rebecca J. Duve and her husband, Frank, of Olney, Md.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth L. and Wayne L. Engel.
Per Brenda’s wishes, there will be no services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md.
