Betty J. Nowak

1925-2018

Betty Jeanette Nowak, age 93, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born January 10, 1925 in Lodi, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mathilda Weis Suelzle.

She attended Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church. S

he attended public schools in California and had worked as a nurse’s aide.

She was very proud of her work as an Ombudsman for Nursing Home Care.

Betty was an avid reader, loved to tend her rose garden and knitted caps for babies and cancer patients.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Judy Lee Rogers and her husband Bill, of Berkeley Springs; two grandsons, Andy Rogers of Middleton, Md., and Matt Rogers of Newburgh, N.Y.; two great grandsons, Jack Rogers and Paul Rogers, both of Middletown, Md., and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Frank Nowak and one brother, Floyd Suelzle.

Services and entombment with her late husband will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
