Betty A. Roach

1931-2018
Betty Alene Roach, 87, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at The Berkeley Springs Center LLC.
Born March 10, 1931 in Magnolia, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret Sybold Vanorsdale.
She was a member   of Hancock Church of God, Hancock.
She had worked as a turner at London Fog Manufacturing Plant in Hancock and in recent years worked as a waitress at National Restaurant.
She liked watching birds, gardening and reading the Bible.
She is survived by one son, David Vanorsdale, Berkeley Springs; one granddaughter, Carrie Dewitt, Deer Park, Md.; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles William Roach, Sr. on September 1, 2000; two sisters, Charlene Hobday and Roberta Iden and three brothers, Willard Vanorsdale, Charles Vanorsdale and Leon Vanorsdale.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 12 at Hancock Church of God, Hancock. Pastor Terry Goodman officiated. Burial was in Orchard Ridge Church of God Cemetery, Hancock.
Arrangements were handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs.
