Maryland State Police have said Thomas S. They determined that a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on I-170 when it struck Cox, who was walking in the traveling lane of the highway. Cox was thrown over the guardrail, police said.

The Peterbilt truck was registered in Alabama and was pulling an empty ammonium nitrate tanker, police noted. The driver of the truck was identified as Mickey Dodson, 30, of Grayson, Kentucky.
