Berkeley Springs High School Tennis continues successful season

The Berkeley Springs High School Lady Indians Tennis Team improved their record to 11-2 over the last two weeks.
The Lady Indians started things off with a 6-1 win over Martinsburg, 6-1 win over St. Mary’s, 4-3 win over Keyser,  5-2 win over Central Catholic, 4-3 win over Oak Glen, 7-0 win over Madonna and a 7-1 win over Weir.
Berkeley Springs played their last four matches in two days with three matches played in one day. The girls ended up playing six matches since the top four players play singles and doubles.
Junior Dalas Carder posted wins over Martinsburg, St. Mary’s, Madonna and Weir. Natalie Hashem posted wins against Keyser, Central Catholic, Madonna and Weir. Lizzy Langenstein and Leah Reed continue to be undefeated with wins against all seven teams in singles and doubles play.
The doubles partners of Dalas Carder/Hashem posted wins against Martinsburg, St. Mary’s, Madonna and Weir. The doubles partners of Shayla Johnson/Morgan Langenstein posted wins against Martinsburg and St. Mary’s. The doubles team of Johnson/Dakota Carder posted wins against Central Catholic, Oak Glen and Madonna.
In regional play the girl’s tennis team has an outstanding record of 10-1 for the season.
The boy’s tennis team is also doing well on the courts with wins against Oak Glen 4-3, Madonna 5-2 and Weir 4-3. The Tribe also posted ties against Martinsburg 3-3 and St. Mary’s 3-3. Dylan Carder posted wins against Keyser, Oak Glen, Madonna and Weir. Caleb Stotler posted wins against St. Mary’s, Oak Glen and Weir. Matthew Rubeck posted wins against all seven teams. Ben Michael posted wins against Martinsburg, Central Catholic and Madonna.
The doubles team of Carder/Rubeck posted wins against St. Mary’s, Keyser, Oak Glen, Madonna and Weir. The doubles team of  Stotler/Michael posted wins against Martinsburg, Oak Glen and Madonna.
Both teams traveled to Wheeling for the matches against Central Catholic, Oak Glen, Madonna and Weir on April 20 and 21.
The teams will finish up their regular season this week with the PVC’s starting with a match they had on Monday, April 23, at Frankfort and continue today, Wednesday, April 25 and at Musselman on Friday, April 27. Regionals will start the following week at West Liberty College in Wheeling.
