Belle Harvey captures first place at Cacapon State Park Cross Country meet

Belle Harvey captured first place in the girls meet.

Sophomore Belle Harvey showed her dominant ways by capturing first place in a home cross country meet at Cacapon State Park for Berkeley Springs High School.
The Indians hosted Faith Christian, Jefferson High School and Paw Paw High School in a small quad meet at the challenging course.
Harvey finished the 3.1 course in 23:04. Teammate and fellow sophomore Taylor Mason finished third with a time of 26:08, Brooke Davison was fourth with a time of 26:31, Alex Banks was sixth with a time of 28:26 and Hannah Moran was seventh with a time of 28:27.
Paw Paw had Marissa Moreland finish in 13th place with a time of 38:16.
Berkeley Springs took the top team score with 21 points while Jefferson finished with 37 points. Faith Christian and Paw Paw did not have enough girls for the team score.
On the boys side, Paw Paw sophomore Dominic Tanouye finished in second place with a time of 21:19.
Berkeley Springs had Dylan Wise finish in ninth place with a time of 23:49. Cole Morris finished in 10th place with a time of 24:17, Landon Riggleman was 11th with a time of 24:18 and Josiah Kolwaski was 12th with a time of 24:26.
Paw Paw’s Coby Ridgeway finished in 15th place with a time of 25:42.
Jefferson took the top team honors with 15 points while the Tribe finished with 50 points. Faith Christian and Paw Paw did not field enough boys for team scores.
Next up for both Berkeley Springs and Paw Paw is the Clear Spring Invitational on Saturday, September 1 at 9 a.m.
