Bath voters to choose mayor, council on June 8

Early voting in the Town of Bath municipal election ends this Saturday, June 5 and registered voters can cast ballots for mayor, recorder and council on election day next Tuesday, June 8.

Town of Bath voters will choose a mayor, recorder and five council members for a two-year term that begins July 1.

Registered voters have a single choice for mayor — incumbent Scott Merki. He is seeking his fourth term in office.

Also running unopposed is the town recorder, Susan Webster. She is running for her third term in that role.

Current council members Chris Chapman, Rick Weber, Elizabeth Skinner and Rose Jackson are seeking reelection.

Two     newcomers — Rob Campbell and Greg Forney — also want seats on the council.

Voters will choose five of the six running.

Polls for voting on election day will be open at the Bath Town Hall from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
