The preliminary results for the Town of Bath election held on Tuesday, June 8 re-elected Scott Merki for Mayor with 62 votes and Susan Webster for Town Recorder with 54 votes. Both Merki and Webster ran unopposed.
Four of the five current council members were re-elected, as follows:
Chris Chapman received 57 votes; Rick Weber received 56 votes; Elizabeth Skinner received 54 votes and Rose Jackson received 51 votes.
Newcomer Greg Forney was elected to serve on the Bath Town Council with 49 votes, defeating Rob Campbell who had 27 votes.
Councilman John Bohrer did not run for re-election.
The new council will serve their two-year term beginning July 1.
The total number of votes tallied was 76, including 29 ballots from Bath residents who voted early.
The vote canvassing will be held on June 14 at Town Hall at 271 Wilkes Street in Berkeley Springs.
