A survey asking for public input about the future uses and development of the Town of Bath’s northside/train depot area is still open for the community to take.
So far about 46 people have participated, said Bath Development Authority (BDA) member Cindy Bodin.
Patrick Kirby, Director of the Northern Brownfields Assistance Center, was instrumental in helping the North Berkeley Rail Trail (NBRT) task force committee to secure the $5,000 grant that was used for the survey, said member Rebecca MacLeod.
Bodin said the Town of Bath asked the BDA to administer the survey.
She said the survey will be used to put together an integrated road map and funding plan (playbook) for the development of the northside depot neighborhood.
According to the Northside Depot Community Visioning Survey, “[T]his community survey is being administered as part of the Northside Depot Neighborhood development planning process. The Northside Depot Neighborhood is located on the north end of the downtown and centers around the Depot (corner of Williams Street and N Washington). This planning process is intended to engage residents, business owners, staff, elected officials and representatives, partners and other stakeholders of the Town of Bath in a collaborative process that will produce a shared vision for the future of the Northside Depot Neighborhood.”

Print copies of the survey are available at the Bath Town Hall on Wilkes Street.
The online survey also includes links to additional information about the train depot rehabilitation project, the North Berkeley Rail Trail and other projects underway in the area.
