Barbara A. Tetlow
1934-2019
Barbara A. Tetlow, age 85, of Berkeley Springs, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
Born on January 4, 1934 at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Maurice A. and Sadie Goldberg.
Barbara was a dental assistant for many years and was known for her compassionate nature, especially with patients that were scared.
She enjoyed gardening, basket weaving, horseback riding, knitting and caring for her many well-loved pets.
She, and her husband Richard, loved living in the country and raised horses, sheep, goats and chickens, all as pets.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard P. Tetlow; four children, Vicki Bishop and her husband Robert, Kathy Heissner and her husband Steve, Andy Tetlow and his wife April, and Terri Rutter and her husband Mark; her sister-in-law, Annabelle Barlow; five grandchildren, Ronnie Malone, Jason Meyer, Derrick Tetlow and his wife Elizabeth, Stephanie Grady and her husband Brennan and Renee Tetlow; six great-grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Natalie Meyer, Henry, Sam and Owen Tetlow, and Evelyn Grady; and her dog Zippy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Goldberg, Robert Truitt and Paul Goldberg, sister, Ann Truitt and two grandsons, Brian Meyer and Ben Tetlow.
Private services were held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the family home.
