Barbara A. Roberts
1937-2019
Barbara Ann (Allen) Roberts, age 81, of Needmore, Pa., passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at her home.
Born September 13, 1937, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Ellen F. (Orndorff) Allen, and the wife of Patrick E. Roberts, whom she had been married to for forty-eight years.
She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, but she also liked to read, work puzzles, be outdoors enjoying the wildlife, and dancing to the “oldies” music.
In addition to her husband, Patrick, she is survived by a daughter, Brenda J. Dunkin, of Hancock, Md.; a grandson, Tyler N. Dunkin, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; a granddaughter, Jasmine N. Dunkin, of Hancock; and three sisters, Ethel Lennon and Linda Gillen, both of Delaware, and Patricia Simmons, of Silver Spring, Md.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the Pleasant Grove Pentecostal Church, 3013 Pleasant Grove Road, Warfordsburg, Pa., with Pastor Denver Plessinger officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church for two hours prior to the service, from 10 until 12 p.m.
