Annie E. Good

1938-2019

Annie Elizabeth Good, age 80, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on Friday, January 18, 2019 at her home while under the care of her loving son Tommy and beautiful Angel daughter Janet.

Born June 30, 1938 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Herbert Louis and Elizabeth Leese Boswell.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Annie was a graduate of Arundel High School in Gambrills, Md., and attended Anne Arundel Community College.

She had worked as a hospital unit secretary.

Annie was active in church affairs and was known for her coconut cakes.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and gardening.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Thomas Garner Good, Sr., at home; her children, Deborah Ann Linthicum of Dundalk, Md., Thomas Garner Good, Jr. and his wife Janet Marie of Hedgesville, Mary Ellen Saunders and her husband Craig of Mt. Airy, Md., and Laura Josephine Mattern and her fiancé Curtis of Hedgesville; her sister, Janet Burkman of Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Richard Boswell of Taylorsville, Md.; eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved and devoted companion “Rusty.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Louis Boswell.

Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Liberty & S. Washington Streets, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with the Rev. Fr. Leonard A. Smith as celebrant. Interment was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the Rosary was recited at 7 p.m.
