Anna Jean Heston, 88, of Hancock, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Doey’s House, Hagerstown.

Born December 19, 1930, in Bakersville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Victor and Delphia Platter Miner.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Page Cornelius Heston, August 21, 2009 who she married on February 6, 1966; one brother, Elmer Miner and one sister, Melda Bittinger.

She was a nursing assistant for six years at the Marylander Nursing Home, she worked at Merriott/ComSat and also worked caring for people in their homes.

She was a member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, Monrovia and attended Grace Christian Fellowship, Hancock.

She liked rug making, quilting and crocheting.

She is survived by one step-daughter, Rosemary Hess, Brook Park, Ohio; two brothers, Reed Miner and John Miner, both of Grantsville and six step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Saturday, June 8 with the Rev. Dr. Edward Guyer officiating.

Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery, Morgantown, W.Va.
