Adrian Dale “Bear” Beattie, age 56, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home.

Born June 5, 1962 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of Maryellen Hendershot Beattie Snyder Willinghan of Berkeley Springs and the late Donald William Beattie.

He was a Saved Christian Man.

He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and served with the U. S. Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Va.

He worked as a technician with STS in Berkeley Springs.

Adrian was a gifted mechanic and tinkerer and enjoyed motorcycles.

He liked hunting and fishing.

He was a member of The Motorcycle Riders of West Virginia.

He was a loving and devoted Pap Pap to his grandson Nathan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Judy Delorse Kerns Beattie, at home; his daughter, Sabrina Elaine Amon of Xenia, Ohio; his brother, Ernest Beattie of Palmetto, Fla.; his half-sister, Angela Snyder of Marion, Ohio; step-sisters, Vickie Bryant of Las Vegas, Nev., and Judy Adams of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one grandson, Nathan Randall Amon of Xenia, Ohio, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Harold Snyder, Sr. and his step-brother, Harold Snyder, Jr.

Funeral services, with military honors provided by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The Rev. William C. Swope will officiate.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
