Adam M. Cook

1923-2019

Adam Marion Cook, age 95, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., entered in to God’s Kingdom on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Country Side Assisted Living in Martinsburg, W.Va., while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born September 12, 1923 in Sykesville, Md., he was the son of the late Adman Marion and Louise Christine Ridgly.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Pacific during World War II.

He worked for Glenn L. Martin American Aircraft and Aerospace Manufacturing Company and retired from Westinghouse Aerospace Division in Baltimore, Md.

He enjoyed traveling especially to the Eastern shore of Maryland and spending winters in Florida.

On June 8, 1946 he married his grade school sweetheart Betty Jane Ruby Cook. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 1, 2014.

Surviving are one son, Bryan Cook and his wife Jerry of Berkeley Springs; three grandchildren, Amy Cook Rexrode and husband Jason, Adam Bryan Cook and wife Jodie Cook, Matthew Eli Cook and wife Misty; seven great grandchildren, Anna and Addison Rexrod, Caroline and Juliann Cook and Mulledy Jane, Elijah and Berkeley Raine Cook.

Services were conducted on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home; 36 S. Green Street with Pastor Tony Pirone, interment was in Greenway Cemetery.

Family received friends from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10.
