Photos and videos sought for Morgan County Bicentennial

Morgan County Bicentennial planners have announced a yearlong contest open to the public where cash prizes are to be awarded every two months for an individual photo and short-short video connected to the Morgan County Bicentennial.

A short-short video must be less than one minute in play-time.   The intent is to engage the public to document interesting facts, views and structures in the county and Bicentennial events. Judges are looking for the quality of the photos as well as the relevance and value of the images.

Deadlines for submissions are the first day of April, July, September, November and December 20.

On each deadline date, a committee judges all photos submitted for all deadlines beginning in February.

Everyone is invited to enter. Winning submissions are to be displayed as part of the celebrations. All entries become the Bicentennial’s to use in the future.

Cash prizes are $50 for each photo and short-short video selected at each deadline date. A total of 10 prizes are awarded along with a grand prize in both categories, photo and video.

Submissions are made electronically to Museum.of.Berkeley.Springs@gmail.com

Prizes for the Photo and Video Bicentennial Contest are provided and sponsored by Morgan County Forum for Arts, Science and Technology (FAST).
