Local Alliance for the Bay representative to speak at Sleepy Creek Watershed meeting

The Sleepy Creek Watershed Association will host Holly May, Watershed Forester for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay at their annual meeting on Saturday, December 2 at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be at the Morgan County Board of Education, 247 Harrison Avenue and is open to all property owners who are interested in learning more about what financial and other assistance the Alliance can provide to improve their land resources and water quality in local watersheds and the Chesapeake Bay.

A recent addition to Eastern Panhandle counties, May previously worked with landowners in Pennsylvania and other bay states and now works closely with the WV Chesapeake Bay Forester and other state and local conservation and water quality activities.

A short Association business meeting and election of directors will precede the program.

Refreshments will be served.
