Sheriff KC Bohrer reports the following calls, investigations and reports for October 29-November 4:

October 29

Cpl. Lemon investigated a single vehicle crash on Martinsburg Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a psychiatric issue on Lous Pony Lane.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a two vehicle crash on Fairfax Street.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a domestic on Kuykendall Lane. Verbal.

October 30

Captain Stapleton handled a trespassing complaint.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a reported domestic on Golden Lane. Verbal only.

Cpl. Barney handled an incorrigible juvenile complaint.

Cpl. Barney investigated a sexual harassment at Berkeley Springs High School.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a reckless driver at Morgan Square. Subject has dementia. Report to DMV for operators review.

Deputy Jenkins responded to an injured deer on Valley Road.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a deer strike on Martinsburg Road.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a missing person. Subject located by Reserves.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a harassment call on Cacapon Road. Advised of options.

October 31

Sheriff Bohrer, Captain Stapleton and Deputy Jenkins and Morgan County Deputy Reserves provided increased patrols in Berkeley Springs, Great Cacapon and Paw Paw for trick or treating.

Sheriff Bohrer, Captain Stapleton and Lt. Place responded to Magnolia to locate missing boater. Subject found safe in Maryland.

Captain Stapleton investigated an altered birth certificate.

Sheriff Bohrer investigated an attempted burglary on Cold Run Valley Road.

Deputy Jenkins arrested Denver Newlin, 46, for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Subject had his child trick or treating.

Sheriff Bohrer responded to a report of a driver on cell phone who almost struck children trick or treating. Bohrer located and cited driver for cell phone use.

November 1

Cpl. Barney and Chief Walter investigated a two-car crash on WV 9 East with three injuries.

Lt. Place investigated a two-car crash on WV 9 with one injury. One citation issued.

Sheriff Bohrer, Chief Walter, Captain Stapleton and Lt. Place investigated a death on Golden Lane.

Cpl. Barney investigated a traffic related complaint on Martinsburg Road.

Cpl. Lemon handled a deer strike on New Hope Road.

Cpl. Barney handled a trespassing complaint on Laurel Avenue.

Cpl. Barney handled three separate cases of students failing to attend school.

November 2

Lt. Place investigated a single vehicle crash on New Hope Road, property damage only.

Cpl. Barney investigated a destruction of property and custody issue on Fairfax Street.

Captain Stapleton investigated a fraud on Washington St.

Captain Stapleton, Deputy Moreland assisted Berkeley Springs Police with execution of drug search warrant on Green Street.

Captain Stapleton investigated a fraud complaint on credit card.

Lt. Place investigated a larceny.

Lt. Place responded to a deer strike on New Hope Road. Animal put down.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a domestic on Sherril Lane.

Cpl. Barney investigated a sexual harassment at Berkeley Springs High School.

Cpl. Barney arrested a student at Warm Springs Middle School for battery on a school employee.

Cpl. Barney investigated a destruction of property on Green Street.

November 3

Deputy L. Shambaugh investigated a two-car crash on River Road with injury. One citation issued.

Sheriff Bohrer and Deputy L. Shambaugh arrested Russell Travis, 32, on a capias from magistrate court.

Lt. Place and Deputy L. Shambaugh responded to Widmeyer Circle for reckless driver.

November 4

Deputy L. Shambaugh investigated a single vehicle crash on Martinsburg Road. One arrest for DUI, Henry L. Lantz, 24, was charged with DUI and failing to maintain control of his vehicle.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a domestic assault and brandishing a weapon on Virginia Line Road. Jenkins arrested a 16-year-old juvenile.

Deputy L. Shambaugh assisted Berkeley County Sheriff’s department with an investigation at Breeden’s Addition.

Felony arrest one, misdemeanor arrests four, traffic citations 38, traffic warnings 11, criminal investigations 14, traffic collisions investigated seven, transports four, legal process served 21, legal process attempted 15, home confinement checks six and complaints non-reported 45.
