Tyson H. Kegarise


Tyson Harold Kegarise, age 41, of Hagerstown, Md., died on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his home as the result of an accidental house fire.

Born October 24, 1976 at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Frederick Harold, Sr. and Debra Maxine Smith Kegarise.

He was a Christian.

Tyson was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Washington County Vo-Tech. He was schooled in metal fabrication and masonry and had worked with Electromat in Hagerstown, working as a metal fabricator with Central Precision in Boonsboro, Md., at the time of his death.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Potomac American Legion Post #202 in Williamsport, Md.

He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed fishing, video games, wrestling and collected all sorts of sports memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife, Cubie Lynn Henderson Kegarise of Berkeley Springs; two daughters, Bethany Lynn Henderson Kegarise and Allys- Ann Carrie Kegarise, both of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Timothy Lee Kegarise of Hagerstown; one sister, Judy Olsen of Hagerstown; special friends, James Ramsey, Keith Tobery and Harold Russ, all of Hagerstown and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Frederick Harold Kegarise, Jr., Thomas Lynn Kegarise and Roger Olsen.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family received friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Ted Marsh officiated. Interment was private.
