Auditions for Hanukkah Goblins

The Morgan Arts Council’s Ice House Theater Project will hold auditions for its winter radio drama Hanukkah Goblins on Tuesday, October 24 and Wednesday October 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ice House.

The cast requires a dozen or so versatile actors that can play the 40 plus parts and have the ability to create multiple distinct character voices. There are parts for both males and females ages 10 and up. A pianist to provide background and transition music is also needed.

Performance dates are December 7-10 and 14-17 at the Ice House. Margi Griffiths is the director.

Written by Brice Williams, the holiday tale revolves around a small eastern European village whose synagogue has been overrun with goblins that prevent the villagers from celebrating Hanukkah. A traveling Rabbi by the name of Hershel comes to the town’s aid and enlists the villagers in ridding the synagogue of the pesky goblins.

The Ice House is located at Independence and Mercer streets. For more information call 304-258-2300.
