Berkeley Springs Zombie Walk 2017

The Morgan County Partnership will be hosting its annual Zombie Walk on Saturday, September 30 on Fairfax Street. All proceeds will go towards the Morgan County Youth Leadership Academy. There is a registration fee and the event is collecting donations of peanut butter for the Morgan County Backpacks program. Anyone who takes a jar of peanut butter will be automatically entered to win a raffle prize. The Pre-Walk Party will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. During this time, participants can get “zombiefied” by make-up artists, participate in a zombie shoot-out or enter the brain eating contest and the zombie costume contest. There will also be games and other fun activities for the whole family, including special guest appearance by the Ghostbusters Tri-State Division. The walk starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Town of Bath Police escorting the zombie herd through town on a designated route. During the walk, there will be “spook spots” set up by local organizations. The Walk will end at the Berkeley Springs State Park and the Berkeley Springs High School Dance Team will lead the zombies in the “Thriller” dance. For more information contact the Morgan County Partnership at 304-258-7807. The Morgan County Partnership works to prevent youth alcohol and drug use and other risky-behaviors through positive character building, evidence-based programming and prevention initiatives. The Youth Leadership Academy identifies teens at Berkeley Springs High School and Paw Paw High School to participate in the academy’s workshops on leadership, decision-making, public speaking, stress management and others. The academy occurs in February and March. The Morgan County Partnership will be hosting its annual Zombie Walk on Saturday, September 30 on Fairfax Street.
