Woodrow Church homecoming



Analea Portmess Malcolm of Paw Paw recognized the photo we published on page 2 of the September 13 issue of The Messenger. Malcolm reports that the photo was taken in 1963 at the Woodrow Union Church near Paw Paw for a Homecoming at the church. The 11 people in the photo were present when the church had its first dedication in 1905, she said. Those pictured are, from left, front row: Lula Ambrose, Anna Arnica, Bertha Malcolm, Minnie Crouse and May Alderton. Back row: Ned Hogbin, Carter Ambrose, Ted Noland, Ira Portmess, James Easton and ??.
