Kasekamp & Tanouye lead Paw Paw Pirates

The Paw Paw Pirates Cross Country Team ventured to Clear Spring, Md. on Saturday, September 2 for the Interstate Classic. Paw Paw had two runners finish in the top 30 and receive ribbons for their outstanding performances.

On the boys side Paw Paw was led by senior Hunter Kasekamp (22nd place, 18:29) and freshman Dominic Tanouye (24th place, 18:47). Landon Ridgeway (31st place, 19:22) and Dylan Moreland (61st place, 22:10) also performed well for the Pirates.

On the Lady Pirates side, Marissa Moreland finished in 69th place with a time of 36:02.

"The kids performed well in cold, wet conditions. We are anxious to get our full team in action,” stated Paw Paw head coach Ian Helmick.

The Pirates will be back in action this coming Saturday, September 9 when they travel to Elkins for the Forest Festival Invitational.
