James E. Ardinger


James Eugene Ardinger, 84, of Great Cacapon, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

He was born April 5, 1933 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late James E. B. Ardinger and Mary G. Morningstar.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He worked as a tools design enginner.

He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God.

He liked reading, watching birds, gardening, canoeing and mountain trips.

He is survived by his wife Melinda Shank Ardinger, whom he married December 29, 2004; three daughters; one step daughter; two sons; two step sons; one sister; one brother; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, September 6, at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, Md. with Pastor Earl Travis officiating. Military honors will be accorded by members of the American Legion Post 13 Honor Guard.

Funeral arrangements are handled by Kimble Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
