Agnes B. MacDonald

1932-2017

Agnes “Nancy” Beithwright Blackshaw MacDonald, 84, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born December 13, 1932 in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes Blackshaw Hendry.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

She attended Dickson’s, Middletown and Kelvinside Schools in Glasgow.

She had worked as a seamstress with McKewn's of Berth kilt factory in Glasgow.

She liked sewing, playing bingo and was the consummate jokester. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Surviving are her husband, Alexander Harry MacDonald, at home; her daughter, Caroline Boyce and her grandson, Gavin Boyce, both of Winchester and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Hendry and her brother, Alexander Hendry.

There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, at Helsley- Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow at South Morgan Volunteer Fire Department.
