Eidolon Nature walk

The Potomac Valley Audubon Society will sponsor a morning nature walk at its Eidolon Nature Preserve in Morgan County on Saturday, September 2.

The walk will last from 9- 11 a.m. It will be led by Larry Stritch, a recently retired U.S. Forest Service Botanist. Stritch is an expert in native plant identification, and the walk will focus on the preserve's rich variety of shrubs and trees.

It will be free, and anyone with an interest is welcome to attend.

Pre-registration is requested, but not required. Easy registration is available on the PVAS website at www.potomacaudubon.org.

Those who wish to join the walk should plan to meet at the preserve parking lot by 9 a.m.

Participants should wear sturdy walking shoes or boots, dress appropriately for the prevailing weather and take water and bug spray.

The Eidolon Nature Preserve is located at 2146 Orleans Road, west of Great Cacapon off Route 9. A map and information about the preserve can be found on the website.
