Paw Paw High School is looking forward to another season of varsity cross country. The team is led by senior, Hunter Kasekamp, a twotime state qualifier in cross country and a three-time state qualifier in track. “We are hoping to make a trip back to the state meet,” said Coach Helmick. “Hunter is an excellent runner who has the drive to succeed.”

Landon Ridgeway, senior, is showing promise for a great season, as well. “Landon is really stepping up this year and pushing others to do their best,” said Helmick. Jon Wolfe (senior), Dylan Moreland (sophomore), Coby Ridgeway (sophomore) and Dominic Tanouye (freshman) have been training hard to round out the team. “The kids are working hard on hills, speed workouts, and increasing mileage. I know it will show in their times.” On the girls’ side, Marissa Moreland, junior, will be the only girl competing this year. “We are hoping she will be injuryfree this season. She is tough.”
