BAD to Better Buildings survey begins

Survey teams of two people each begin their work for the Town of Bath Landmark Commission’s BAD to Better Buildings Project this week. Work should be completed by early September.

The community survey is designed to get a better idea of how many potential problem properties there are in town and where they are.

To accomplish this survey, the volunteer team members will be viewing, evaluating and photographing properties that meet the criteria for being a problem structure. At no time will the volunteer team members intrude upon private property or take any action beyond collecting visual information.

The ultimate goal of the project is to identify, rehabilitate and restore dilapidated, blighted, vacant and abandoned buildings and then help property owners turn their underutilized buildings into something new.
