Sheriff KC Bohrer reports the following calls, investigations and reports for July 16-22:

July 16

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a runaway complaint. Child located.

Sgt. Shambaugh investigated a burglary on Big Oak Tree Road.

Deputy Jenkins investigated illegal drug dealing in 200 block of North Washington Street.

Deputy Jenkins responded to an intoxicated person on Martinsburg Road. Located subject and obtained a ride for subject.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a juvenile complaint on Foxes Hollow Lane. Advised of options.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a lost kayaker on Cacapon River. Hampshire County.

Deputy Jenkins assisted Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department on Luther Michael Road.

July 17

Deputy Roper investigated a traffic collision on Hancock Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a larceny complaint on Springbrook Drive. Complainant advised of options.

Cpl. Barney investigated a child concealment on Hobday Lane.

Cpl. Barney investigated a possession of controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver.

Deputy Shambaugh investigated some subject purchasing cigarettes for underaged subjects on Union Street.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to a trespasser on Hobday Lane. Subject removed.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to a harassment via Facebook. Advised of options.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to a dispute on Kodiak Lane. Options provided.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to tampering with motor vehicle on Hammond Street in Great Cacapon. Area checked.

July 18

Captain Stapleton investigated a domestic assault.

Cpl. Barney investigated an embezzlement at Advanced Auto. Arrested was Mike Steiner, 28, for embezzlement for a business.

Cpl. Barney transported a mental hygiene from Morgan County to Highland Hospital in Charleston.

Deputy Shambaugh took a harassment complaint at station.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to a domestic complaint on Hannathany Lane. Verbal.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to a juvenile complaint on Widmeyer Circle. Advised of options.

July 19

Sgt. Shambaugh investigated a larceny at Food Lion.

Sgt. Shambaugh arrested Jaron Ahfled, 18, for domestic assault.

Captain Stapleton assisted Baltimore City Police Homicide unit on an investigation.

Sgt. Shambaugh investigated a traffic crash on Martinsburg Road.

Deputy Jenkins and Deputy Lebo responded to a domestic in the 6000 block of Winchester Grade Road. Advised of options.

Deputy Jenkins assisted Berkeley Springs Police with an overdose on Wilkes Street.

Deputy Lebo investigated an assault on Laurel Hill Lane. Under investigation.

Deputy Lebo responded to a domestic in the 6000 block of Valley Road. Situation resolved.

July 20

Sgt. Shambaugh investigated an unattended death on Oriental Circle.

Captain Stapleton investigated a credit card fraud originating in New York.

Deputy Lebo investigated possession of illegal drugs on Shirley Drive.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a child neglect on Parkside Drive.

Deputy Jenkins arrested Frances L. “Lenny” Belt III, 31, for fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment and child neglect.

Captain Stapleton investigated a larceny.

Deputy Jenkins assisted state police with a vehicle theft at Sheetz.

July 21

Deputy Roper investigated a burglary where a large amount of jewelry was taken from a residence of Bridge Creek Road.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh investigated a larceny on Hull Drive.

Cpl. Lemon arrested Andrea D. Firtik, 39, for obstructing an officer, and possession of controlled substance on Valley Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a reckless driver call in the 5000 block of Valley Road.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to some shots fired call on Wild Rose Court. Spoke to parties and provided options.

Deputy Shambaugh responded to Roy’s Service Center with Berkeley Springs Police on a shoplifter. Handled by BSPD.

Deputy Shambaugh responded with EMS to an extremely intoxicated subject on River Road and Joshua Lane. Subject transported by EMS to hospital.

July 22

Deputy Luke Shambaugh investigated an unattended death on Spielman Road.

Deputy Roper investigated a destruction of property on Central Avenue.

Deputy Roper investigated a leaving the scene of a traffic collision at the Country Inn.

Sheriff Bohrer and Deputy Reserves assisted with traffic control and security at Morgan County Expo.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a trespassing complaint on South Washington Street. Removed subject.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a traffic collision on Independence Street.

Citations 38, written warnings 22, felony arrest two, misdemeanor arrests two, process served 29, process attempted 20, alarms six, transports five, traffic collisions four, criminal investigations 16, home confinement checks six, home comfinement hookups one and complaints not requiring a written report 46.
