Summer Concert in the Park Mary Ann Redmond band

Mary Ann Redmond Mary Ann Redmond A Washington, D.C., regional favorite, Mary Ann Redmond and her band bring soulful rhythm and blues and energy to Berkeley Springs State Park in Morgan Arts Council’s Summer Concerts in the Park, Saturday, July 22, 5:30 p.m.

Redmond’s 24 Wammies (Washington Area Music Association Awards) pay tribute to her acclaimed vocals, which range from blues and jazz to rock-pop and traditional roots. Her voice soars from alto to soprano as she performs innovative compositions along with her three member band. She is known for singing heartfelt ballads and funky tunes with equal ease.

The Ice House, corner of Independence and Mercer serves as the rain location. Sponsors for the series are Atasia Spa, Best Western Berkeley Springs Inn, Heath Studio Gallery, Lot 12 Public House and The Naked Olive, with additional support from the National Endowment for the Arts, West Virginia Commission on the Arts and local hotel-motel tax revenues.
