Local baseballer throws out O’s first pitch

On July 2, Conner Maconaughey, seven, of Berkeley Springs was chosen to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Baltimore Orioles home game against Tampa Bay. He was picked after mother Allison Maconaughey had entered an Orioles sweepstakes on social media. The “Have a Catch” campaign encourages kids to get outside and play. He played on the Orioles team with Morgan County Little League this season, and was chosen for the seven-eight-nine year old All Stars in the post-season.
