Sheriff KC Bohrer reports the following calls, investigations and reports for June 25-July 8:

June 25

Cpl. Barney took an information report reference incident at Cherry Run docks. Referred to Natural Resources Police.

Cpl. Barney investigated a sexual assault on Maryland Avenue.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a property damage traffic collision on Cold Run Valley Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a domestic on Amazing Grace Lane, verbal only, advised of options.

Cpl. Barney responded to a noise complaint on Maryland Avenue. No criminal violations.

Cpl. Barney responded to a welfare check on Horseshoe bend. All secure.

Cpl. Barney responded to an intoxicated subject call at War Memorial Hospital. GOA.

Cpl. Barney responded to a loud party complaint in Cherry Run. Party dispersed.

Cpl. Barney investigated a sexual assault complaint at WVU East Hospital in Martinsburg, alleged to have occurred in Morgan County. Female refused to cooperate.

Cpl. Barney responded to a disabled vehicle report on Warm Springs Way. Assisted.

Cpl. Barney responded to a trespassing on Harrison Avenue. Female left property without arrest.

Cpl. Barney responded to a breaking and entering in progress on Fairview Drive. Unfounded.

June 26

Sheriff Bohrer responded to a subject with a gun call on Green Street. GOA.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Johnson’s Mill Road. Unfounded.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to noise complaint on Holly Hill Lane. Advised subjects to cease activity.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a traffic collision in Oak Hills Subdivision. Private property, non-reportable.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Mallard Creek Lane. Juveniles listening to music. No action necessary.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a disabled motorist on Valley Road. Assisted.

June 27

Captain Stapleton investigated a credit card fraud in Berkeley Springs.

Captain Stapleton investigated some controlled substance activity.

Captain Stapleton investigated a sexual abuse near Paw Paw. Incident occurred in Hampshire County, referred further investigation.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a domestic on Apple Orchard Circle. Verbal only.

Deputy Jenkins responded to an alarm on Happy Creek Circle. All secure.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a domestic on Apple Orchard Circle. Verbal between father and son.

June 28

Cpl. Barney investigated a larceny at Autumn Acres.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a reckless driving complaint on Cold Run Valley Road. Gone on arrival.

Cpl. Lemon responded to suspicious circumstance call on Healthy Way. Prior incident handled by Deputy Luke Shambaugh. Subject again advised of options.

Cpl. Lemon responded to reckless driving motorcycle complaint on Valley Road. Negative contact with bikes.

Cpl. Barney responded to a potential suicidal subject on Hancock Road. Not located.

Cpl. Barney responded to a neighbor dispute on Independence Street. Advised of law and options.

June 29

Deputy Luke Shambaugh investigated a report of drug related activity.

Sheriff Bohrer responded to an alarm call on Fairfax Street. False activation.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a missing person complaint on Tower Circle. Subject located.

Sheriff Bohrer, Cpl. Lemon, Cpl. Barney and Deputy Luke Shambaugh conducted physical agility tests for new deputy applicants at Widmyer Track.

Cpl. Lemon responded to 911 hang-up complaint on Audubon Road. Incident in Berkeley County referred to BCSD.

Cpl. Lemon assisted Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department with a stolen cellphone incident. Property recovered.

Cpl. Barney handled a yard sign issue on Fearnow Road.

June 30

Deputy Jenkins investigated a property damage collision on New Hope Road.

Deputy Dennis Jenkins arrested Jeremie D. Freed, 37, for DUI.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lowline Road. Gone on arrival.

Deputy Jenkins responded to an alarm on Cacapon Road. All secure.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a traffic collision on River Road. Non-reportable.

July 1

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to a domestic on Householder Road. Verbal disagreement.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to an injured deer on Martinsburg Road. Animal had to be dispatched to end suffering.

Sheriff Bohrer, Deputy Jenkins and Pltm. Link handled traffic shut down on U.S. 522 North at fire scene.

Deputy Jenkins handled a death notification on Winnipeg Lane for Martinsburg Police Department.

July 2

Deputy Jenkins responded to an unwanted person in Paw Paw. Gone on arrival.

Deputy Jenkins responded to an overdose on Street Glide Way. Heroin overdose transported to hospital.

July 3

Captain Stapleton investigated a financial exploitation in Berkeley Springs.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh investigated a destruction of property in Great Cacapon.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a larceny on Williams Street.

Deputy Roper investigated a larceny on Spohrs Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a trespassing complaint on Valley Road.

Cpl. Barney responded to a disturbance call on Biser Street of youth using profanity. Spoke with individuals.

July 4

Cpl. Barney investigated sexual assault on Harrison Avenue.

Cpl. Lemon responded to suspicious circumstance call on Valley Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to suspicious circumstance call on Winchester Grade Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to an alarm at Morgan Square. False activation.

Cpl. Lemon responded to large party on Maryland Lane. Dispersed.

Cpl. Barney investigated a traffic collision on Martinsburg Road.

July 5

Cpl. Lemon investigated an underage consumption and public intoxication at Maryland Cove. Arrested was Joseph Giallonardo, 20.

Captain Stapleton arrested Zane Fleece, 20, for probation violation.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to deer struck on Waugh Road. Deer had to be put down.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to abandoned vehicle on Valley Road.

Sgt. Shambaugh assisted in repossession of residence on Waterside Court.

Cpl. Lemon responded to suspicious circumstances on Maryland Lane.

Deputy Jenkins responded to fireworks complaint on Fox Hollow Trail. Complainant advised on new law.

Deputy Jenkins responded to an alarm on Bears Lope Lane. Unfounded.

July 6

Deputy Jenkins investigated a two-vehicle property damage traffic collision on WV 9 East.

Captain Stapleton investigated a fraud case in Berkeley Springs.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a possession of controlled substance on Householder Road. Arrested was David A. Johns, 45 for possession of less than 15 grams.

Sgt. Shambaugh investigated a breaking and entering on Cold Run Valley Road.

Deputy Lebo arrested Charles E. Young for battery on a police officer.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a domestic battery from Berkeley County. Referred to Berkeley County.

Deputy Jenkins arrested Derek J. Thatcher, 26, for shoplifting, wearing a prohibited mask and probation violation.

Deputy Lebo arrested Andrew J. Harman, 25, for fraud.

Sgt. Shambaugh handled a child custody dispute on Shives Lane.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to an overdose on Shives lane.

Cpl. Lemon handled a trespassing call on Maryland Lane.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a K-9 assist from West Virginia State Police at Sheetz.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a EPO violation on Winchester Grade Road. Caller explained their options.

July 7

Deputy Roper investigated a destruction of property at Food Lion.

Captain Stapleton arrested Kevin G. Brandt, 34, for probation violation.

Sheriff Bohrer and deputy Luke Shambaugh arrested Michael V. Dillman, 25, for solicitation of a minor, two counts of assault on police officers, and brandishing a weapon.

Sheriff Bohrer responded to an alarm on Iroquois Trail. Activated by real estate agent.

Sheriff Bohrer retrieved a two-year-old child from father on court order from Colorado.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a larceny on Washington Street.

July 8

Cpl. Lemon investigated a domestic battery in Mawani Village. Arrested was Donald E. Matulaitis, 37 for domestic battery and destruction of property.

Deputy Roper investigated a larceny on Martinsburg Road.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh arrested Paula S. Cobb, 47, on a capias.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a burglary call on Timber Ridge Road. Unfounded.

Cpl. Lemon responded to suspicious circumstance call on Little Creek Lane. Unfounded.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to domestic on Duane Lane. Options provided.
