School personnel changes

The Morgan County School Board approved the following personnel actions at their June 19 meeting:

Hannah Stewart, .6 West Virginia Licensed Social Worker for the county, transferred to a fulltime position as county social worker beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.

Charles Wilson was employed as a Warm Springs Middle School science teacher starting with the 2017-2018 school year.

Halftime Paw Paw Schools music teacher Michelle Rossignol transferred to a position as Warm Springs Intermediate School third grade teacher beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.

Berkeley Springs High School English teacher Robert Dugan resigned effective at the end of June 14.

Berkeley Springs High School science teachers Jeff Hankey and Stephanie Hankey resigned effective at the end of June 14.

Substitute teachers Sondra O’Shea and Diana Godman resigned effective at the end of May 27 and June 1, respectively.

Restructure positions

A 225 day assistant principal position for Berkeley Springs High School is being restructured into a 210 day position.

A 200 day position for an itinerant special education teacher for multi-categorical students with autism/preschool special needs is being restructured into a 205 day itinerant special education teacher for multi-categorical students with autism/preschool special needs/special education specialist.

Service personnel

The following individuals were approved as substitute aides starting with the 2017- 2018 school year: Diane Clark, Courtney Cox, Kathy Helmick, Rocky Riffle, Danelle Smith, Ashley Thompson, Lee Ann Armpriester, Geri Golden, Patricia Keys, Jill Silver, Charity Sullivan and Teri Tillman.

Bus 187 driver Robert Spring was removed from transfer and assigned as Bus 192 driver, starting with the 2017-2018 school year.

The employment contract for Wendy Drennen, substitute aide and substitute clerk, was terminated on June 12.

The employment contracts for substitute clerks Stephanie Nichols and Jamie Ryan were terminated effective at the end of June 12.

Extracurricular/extra-duty

Michael Wilder was employed as Berkeley Springs High School summer program credit recovery teacher from June 12 through June 30.

Cheryl Will was approved as Camp MoCo summer program special educator for Widmyer Elementary from June 19 to July 27.

Kathy Brenner was hired as a county extended school year (ESY) summer special education teacher beginning July 5 for four days at two hours per day.

Rita Fortney and Chelsea Neatrour were employed as county extended school year (ESY) summer speech pathologists starting July 5 for a total of two days.

Coaches, athletics

Holly Palmer was hired as Paw Paw Schools head girls varsity basketball coach, head volleyball coach and assistant girls basketball coach for grades six-eight effective for the 2017-2018 season.

Greg Brown resigned as Berkeley Springs High School head softball coach effective at the end of June 13.

Les Morris resigned as Warm Springs Middle School athletic director effective at the end of June 30.
