Two injured in Fulton County accident

Two people were injured in an accident at the intersection of Thompson Road and Johnsons Mill Road in Warfordsburg on Monday morning, June 26.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred as a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Charity Strait, 19, of Needmore, was traveling west on Johnsons Mill Road and a 2008 Ford Focus driven by Tony Mc- Cumbee, 45, of Berkeley Springs, was traveling north on Thompson Road.

Police said Strait had attempted to turn left onto Thompson Road and entered the path of McCumbee’s Focus.

Strait’s vehicle was then struck by McCumbee’s vehicle in the front driver’s side.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.

Strait and McCumbee were both wearing their seatbelts, however they suffered minor injuries in the crash and were transported to War Memorial Hospital.

Needmore Volunteer Fire Company assisted Pennsylvania State Police at the scene.
