Sheriff K.C. Bohrer reports the following calls, investigations and reports for June 4-10:

June 4

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to an injured deer on highway, Pine Grove Road.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a welfare check at Catawba Drive.

Deputy Roper responded to a reported suicidal subject at Catawba Drive. Unfounded.

June 5

Cpl. Lemon and Deputy Roper responded to an unwanted subject at a funeral on Union Street. Subject GOA.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to an animal complaint on Winchester Grade Road. Animal deceased.

June 6

Cpl. Barney investigated (4) four separate cases of failing to send children to school. Two at Berkeley Springs High School and one at Warm Springs Middle School.

Captain Stapleton investigated an identification theft.

Cpl. Lemon and Deputy Roper responded to suspicious circumstances on Martinsburg Road. Unfounded.

Cpl. Lemon responded to an alarm on Valley Road. Unfounded.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a traffic complaint on Martinsburg Road. Road rage incident.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a two-car traffic collision on Valley Road.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a backup call with Deputy Roper on Foggy Bottom Lane.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a property dispute on Mae Butts Lane. Subject advised of options.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a road rage incident on New Hope Road. Caller advised of options.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a traffic collision on Shirley Drive.

Deputy Roper responded to an alarm at Dollar General on Valley Road. Secure.

Deputy Roper responded to an overdose on Truman Street. Officer performed CPR until EMS arrived.

Deputy Roper responded to an overdose call at Foggy Bottom Lane, Shelia Hoover, 51, arrested for obstructing an officer.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to an alarm on Valley Road. Secure.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to an unwanted person on the former Coolfont Resort. Subject removed.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to a suspicious vehicle on Winchester Grade Road. GOA

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to a report of threats at Beechwood Drive. Under investigation.

June 7

Deputy Roper took a missing person report on Jay Thomas Lewis.

Sgt. Shambaugh assisted Berkeley Springs Police with a domestic complaint on North Washington Street.

June 8

Captain Stapleton investigated a fraud case. Global Logistics, Tri-Lake Park is the victim.

Cpl. Barney investigated an assault on Givens Street.

Sgt. Shambaugh responded to farm animals on highway, River Road.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a domestic at Ruth Bevans Lane, GOA subjects advised of options on party who departed.

Deputy Jenkins responded to a trespassing at Mae Butts Lane. Caller advised of options.

June 9

Cpl. Lemon investigated a motorcycle crash on Martinsburg Road.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a second motorcycle crash on Martinsburg Road.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a traffic collision at the 19th Hole.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a welfare check on River Road. Unfounded.

Cpl. Lemon investigated a domestic at Valley Road. Advised of options.

Cpl. Lemon responded to an intoxicated subject on Martinsburg Road. Subject transported by another to her residence.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a mentally ill subject at Conway Lane. Transported by EMS.

Sheriff Bohrer and Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to a fire alarm at Sheriff’s Department HQ. Alarm company testing alarm without notifying law enforcement or 911. Situation addressed with company.

June 10

Cpl. Lemon arrested Matthew S. Merki, 30, for aggravated DUI, defective equipment and no seatbelt.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a domestic at Hancock Road. Unfounded.

Cpl. Lemon responded to an alarm at Food Lion. Store checked. Secure.

Cpl. Lemon responded to a suspicious circumstance call behind Goodwill. Subjects located in dumpster.

Deputy Roper responded to a welfare check at Starlight Lane. Nothing found.

Deputy responded with state police to a suspicious incident on Kuykendall Lane.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh responded to a destruction of property at Martinsburg Road. Report taken

Citations 28, written warnings 11, misdemeanor arrests three, process served 17, alarms seven, transports two, traffic collisions two, criminal investigations six, complaints not requiring a written report: 52 and home confinement two pre-sentence investigations for court.
