Losing freedom

Dear Editor:

We are losing our freedom. I have never been in court in my 84 years but now I am treated as a criminal such as murderers, bank robbers and other criminals. My crime: I don’t want a 75-foot swath cut through my family’s property by eminent domain. Eminent domain is for the use of general public. I can’t see where there is any benefit to the general public through this pipeline. I understand they already have natural gas in Martinsburg. Then why is a 25- mile line from Rt. 522 to I-81 necessary? Is this gas line helping the general public? It is all about money. As I said before, we are losing our freedom.
