Indivisible group meets June 4

The fifth monthly meeting of Morgan County Indivisible takes place on June 4, from 5- 7 p.m. The group meets in the theater at the Ice House Building, corner of Mercer and Independence streets in Berkeley Springs.

The first half of the meeting will focus on local, state and national topics, current political climate and what actions Indivisible groups throughout the country are engaging in, and review of our committee’s latest activities.

This will be followed by a workshop developed by Rick Wilson and Lida Shepard with the American Friends Service Committee – Economic Justice 101. The workshop will guide participants through an overview of what economic justice is, highlights how wealth and income inequality have grown, and finally explore how the group can most effectively advance economic justice policies.

The Indivisible group—one of thousands throughout the U.S.—is nonpartisan and welcomes all who are interested in peaceful action to hold elected officials accountable. The goal is to make government work for all, especially for those who feel left out of the political arena.
