Sheriff KC Bohrer reports the following calls, investigations and reports for May 1- May 6:

May 1

Deputy Jenkins investigated a grand larceny on Augusta Lane.

Deputy Jenkins arrested Lori Osborne, 46 years old, on a failure to appear capias.

May 2

Sheriff Bohrer investigated a malicious wounding, brandising a weapon and destruction of property on Pacific Street, Paw Paw. Timothy D. Ryan, 30 years old, was charged with malicious wounding (two counts), brandishing a weapon, destruction of property and obstructing an officer.

May 3

Captain Stapleton investigated a grand larceny on Pendle Drive.

Deputy Luke Shambaugh investigated a destruction of property on River Road.

Cpl. Lemon arrested Joseph M. Caldwell, 49 years old, for probation revocation.

Cpl. Lemon arrested Ashley N. Cobb, 28 years old, for an outstanding capias.

May 4

Cpl. Barney investigated an internet harassment.

Lt. Place investigated a traffic relation complaint on U.S. 522.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a credit card theft.

May 5

Sgt. Shambaugh investigated a petit larceny of a motor vehicle on Waugh Road.

Lt. Place arrested Jay E. Gill, 34 years old, for DUI and driving revoked drug on U.S. 522.

Lt. Place arrested Kimberly A. Ray, 29 years old, for DUI drug related.

Deputy Jenkins investigated an army robbery and malicious wounding on Briarwood Circle.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a property damage traffic collision on River Road.

May 6

Cpl. Barney investigated a breaking and entering on Marjorie Lane.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a possession of controlled substance on Martinsburg Road.

Deputy Jenkins investigated a traffic related complaint on Harrison Avenue.

On Friday, May 5, members of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, Morgan County Deputy Reserve and Berkeley Springs Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint at the intersection of U.S. 522 and WV 9 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 12 midnight. A total of 562 vehicles were checked.

Citations 25, written warnings 12, felony arrests five, misdemeanor arrests four, process served 43, process attempted 28, alarms five, transports six, traffic collision one, criminal investigations 13, home confinement hookups three, home confinement checks three and complaints not requiring a written report 36.
