William P. Shock


William Powell Shock, 94 of McConnellsburg, Pa., formerly of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at The Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg.

Born September 25, 1922 in Lutherville, Md., he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Helena Augusta Brooks Shock.

He was a Christian.

He attended public schools in Maryland and had served with the U.S. Army.

He had worked as a chef.

Surviving are his children, Terry Stump, Gregory Shock and Stephanie Krawczyk, all of Berkeley Springs and Irene Schmid, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Earl Shock, BelAir, Md.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Merson on March 31, 2001 and his wife Beatrice Margaret Cavanaugh Shock.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 13, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Pastor Phil King will officiate. Interment will be private.
