Rodney R. Tilton

1950-2017

Rodney Randolph Tilton, 67, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born April 16, 1950 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late George Oscar Tilton and Frances Louise McCracken Tilton.

He was a member of the Faith in God Chapel.

He graduated from Woodlawn High School, Baltimore class of 1968.

He liked the blues, oldies, dancing, baseball, motorcycles and vintage cars.

He worked at Gwynn Oak Park, Gino’s, various service stations, truck mechanic, construction, sheet metal mechanic, concrete finisher and heavy equipment operator. He had worked as a concrete truck driver with Dan Lee Concrete Company of Inwood.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Susan Ruppert; one daughter, Nettie Ruppert Tilton, both at home; three sons, Rodney Tilton, Mark Tilton and Kirk Tilton, all of Towson, Md.; former wife Deborah Tilton and many grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 at Faith in God Chapel, with Pastor Ken Dyar officiating. Interment will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
