Berkeley Springs Lions Club Sight Awareness Campaign this weekend

The Berkeley Springs Lions Club will hold their annual “White Cane Safety and Awareness” campaign this weekend May 12- 13.

Funds raised during this two day campaign will assist in providing additional money needed to improve sight care for West Virginians as well as for research and aid for people around the USA and the world.

As a part of the Lions efforts in West Virginia, the club provides funds to support sight research and eye surgery at the University of West Virginia Eye Institute, as well as sight screening for children and adults in Morgan County.

Lions will be seeking financial help from the people of Morgan County to support these much needed requirements. Club members will be at the main office of CNB Bank, Food Lion and Rite Aid on Friday and Saturday.

In Morgan County, the Lions Club provides funding for the cost of eye examinations and eye glasses for those who are unable to afford these expenses.

Additionally, the club provides scholarships to children with diabetes to attend a unique camp that specializes in children with these special needs.

Remember that all donations go toward the sight related projects and none toward administrative overhead. We rely on your generosity to help others.
