2017 After Prom Party

The MUSTACHE Prom Party is a free event open to students attending Berkeley Springs High School and will be held May 6, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Berkeley Springs Bowl, 4909 Valley Road. There will be several giveaways, including Amazon gift cards and prizes donated by local businesses, a T-Rex obstacle course, photo-booth with plenty of mustache props, bowling, a DJ, arcade games and lots of food. This event is free to all BSHS students, including those who choose not to attend prom.

This event is made possible by a STOP grant through the Morgan County Partnership with several community sponsors. Tom and Sandra Lombardo, owners of Berkeley Springs Bowl, will provide the facility, staff and food. EastRidge Health Center, Tri-State Community Health and Tri-State Life or Drugs are also key sponsors. Donations for door prizes have been donated by CJ Floral, Advanced Auto Parts, Total Image, Rankin’s, Tony’s Butcher Block, Dairy Queen, Reed’s Pharmacy, Black Dog Coffee, Shenandoah Women’s Center, Mountain Laurel, A Head Above, Berkeley Springs Books, Mountain View Solar and Hunter’s Hardware.

The doors will open at 9 p.m. Wristbands and timestamped driving passes for those leaving after 10 p.m. will be provided. Several adult chaperones will be in attendance. No one will be allowed to return after leaving for safety reasons.

Summer Walsh, MC After 3 Program Director and Morgan County Partnership Youth Coalition Program Leader said: “We are honored to be able to offer our youth a fun, safe place to come after prom. Prom seems to be infamous for underage drinking relating to accidents and fatalities. Our hope is that all of our students stay safe this and every night. Our community has been outstanding in supporting this endeavor. Our kids are blessed.”
