Golf continues early season success

Not pictured: Tre Miller Last week the Berkeley Springs golf team kept up their early season success with a first place and second place finish. The Indians have been consistent this season on the greens and the youth of the program has kept improving each week.

Last Tuesday, August 19 the Indians finished second in a tri match held at Cacapon State Park. Washington who has been a thorn in the Tribe’s side all season finished in first place. Rhett Beddow’s 41 led the Indians.

Berkeley Springs traveled to Down River Golf Course in Everett, Pa. Wednesday, August 20 for a dual against Hancock. The Tribe as a team shot a 185 to outpace the Panthers 206. Scoring for the Indians were Rhett Beddow 41, Courtney Close 47, Chase Bowers 48, Tre Miller 49 and Brandon Keenan 51.

Hancock’s Kyle Kerns 36, Taylor Kerns 53, Jordan Kerns 57, Joona Kielek 60 led the scoring for the Panthers.
