Library Goddess

Morgan County Public Library

The Summer Reading Program has ended and school is once again on the horizon...That can only mean one thing: fall is on its way! Visit the library for help with your school projects, or for your fall cleanup projects. You will find many helpful books here for all needs.

Upcoming library events include a program at the Ice House featuring Harriet Tubman, as portrayed by Ilene Evans, on September 12 and Doug Riley as Mark Twain on October 24. These programs are free to the public and open to all ages. Shows will begin at 7 p.m. and run for approximately one hour. In November, the library will have a sale of some rare and collectible books just in time for your holiday shopping. If you have book lovers on your list, you will want to check in with us on November 29 (location to be determined). Pam Mann is working on a program for December, and it is sure to be something fun for the family. Be sure to check in with the library Facebook page for more information on this and all the library events.

As always, the librarians are more than willing to assist with any questions on projects, programs or wishes for books or DVDs. The hours may have been cut due to budget issues, but the commitment to the patrons is still as strong as it has always been.
